Mini Grants
Community Foundation of Hancock County
Overview
If you have a project or an idea that requires financial support to make a difference in our community, explore our Mini Grants program. We aim to help bring your vision to life with funding opportunities.
Funding Criteria
• Requests must be for $1,500 or less.
• Priority is given to requests for emergencies or immediate needs.
• Mini Grants are intended for one-time expenses; they do not sustain operating or programming costs annually unless there is a plan for future sustainability.
• The applicant organization must directly benefit from the funds.
• Organizations may receive up to $1,500 in Mini Grants per calendar year.
• Mini Grants are awarded on a rolling basis throughout the calendar year, subject to fund availability.
Eligibility
Mini Grants of up to $1,500 are available to:
• Tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organizations
• Mutual benefit organizations
• Government agencies
• Municipalities
• Churches
Ineligibility
• Mini Grants cannot be used for sustaining ongoing operational or program costs.
• Organizations must explain plans for sustainability if seeking funding for a portion of a new ongoing expense.
Application Process
• Mini Grants are administered on a rolling cycle each calendar year.
• Applications are accepted and evaluated on a first-come, first-served basis until funds for the calendar year are exhausted.

Tiger Foundation
Overview
Tiger Foundation supports nonprofit organizations in New York City across three key areas: Education, Family Support, and Youth, Workforce, and Justice. The foundation focuses on funding proven, high-impact programs that directly serve low-income communities.
Focus Areas
• Education: Supports district and charter schools, school networks, and community-based organizations to ensure all children have access to excellent education and services.

Eligibility
Tiger Foundation funds organizations that:
• Are tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the IRS Code.
• Focus on addressing root causes of poverty in New York City.
• Demonstrate strong measurable outcomes, skilled leadership, cost-effectiveness, and financial health.
Ineligibility
Requests for support are not considered for:
• Individuals
• Annual or capital campaigns
• Endowments
• Benefits
• Public policy or lobbying efforts
• Legal assistance
• Existing obligations or debt liability
Application Process
• There are no deadlines for submitting Letters of Inquiry (LOIs); they are reviewed year-round on a rolling basis.
• Upon receipt of an LOI, initial review takes approximately four to six weeks.
• Qualified applicants will be contacted by program staff for further consideration.

Youth Pillar Grant
USA Triathlon Foundation

Sand Hill Foundation funds programs in San Mateo County that help youth and families with low-income stabilize, grow, and thrive through:
• Education: College access and completion programs for youth and young adults aged 11-25.
• Job Training and Entrepreneurship: Creating career pathways through vocational and entrepreneurship training, and access to capital for small businesses.
• Housing Security: Housing preservation, shelter and rapid rehousing, and legal services to prevent homelessness.
Eligibility
To be eligible for funding, organizations must:
• Work within the Foundation's stated areas of focus, primarily serving San Mateo County in the San Francisco Bay Area.
• Be tax-exempt.
Preference is given to nonprofits that:
• Dedicate 50% or more of their efforts towards the people of San Mateo County.
• Operate programs aligned with the Foundation's focus areas in Daly City, South San Francisco, Redwood City/North Fair Oaks, and the Coastside, serving families with low-income.
• Incorporate diverse stakeholder perspectives with demonstrable cultural competence.
• Provide high-quality programs as trusted community resources.
• Focus on youth aged 11-25 and their families navigating life with limited financial means.
